    "The first picture was taken in Nervi (a little town near Quarto that now is part of Genoa) in 1907: the little child is my grandmother Maria, she was 3, the elder one is my grandaunt Carlotta, she was 8. This photo was sent to "Barba Ninni" Filippo Maggioncalda, son of Giacomo Maggioncalda and uncle of the two children, that worked in Callao with Lorenzo Maggioncalda."

    A picture of Mariateresa Maggioncalda and Carlo Chierico on their wedding day, it was taken in Genoa, 21 april 1895, she was 17 and he was 28.

    A picture of Michele Pietro Maggioncalda, son of Giacomo Maggioncalda e Maria Fasce. It was taken in Rome, before or during the First World War. He served in the "Granatieri di Sardegna" corp of the army. He died when he was 27 in 1916, during a battle on Carso in the north-east of Italy.

    An old picture of Lorenzo Maggioncalda, son of Filippo Maggioncalda, brother of Ferdinando "Giovanni Baptist" Maggioncalda, and godfather of Lorenzo Maggioncalda, Giovanni Baptist's son. It was taken in El Callao, Peru, probably in the last decennium of nineteenth century.
